Serving Our Communities (February)

As part of the Texas Southwest Council’s year‑long 100th anniversary celebration, February highlights the theme of Civic Service — a focused opportunity for Scouts, families, alumni, and community supporters to strengthen the places we call home across the Amistad and Concho Valley Districts.

Throughout February, units are encouraged to support civic institutions, improve public spaces, and engage in meaningful community‑focused service projects.

Subject: Scouting Volunteer Support for Civic Service Month – February 2026

Hello,

This year, the Texas Southwest Council of Scouting America is celebrating its 100th anniversary with monthly service initiatives. February’s theme is “Civic Service.”

Our Scouts and adult volunteers would like to know if your organization could benefit from service assistance — ideally on a Saturday or Sunday. If so, please share potential tasks, age‑appropriate opportunities, and preferred dates. We will coordinate accordingly.

Thank you for your partnership in strengthening our communities.
